Dreaming in Java?

Last night I had this dream that I was programming in Java. I haven’t programmed in Java for months.

System.out.println(“What the hell?\n”);

In other news….after the last Victoria Ruby Group meeting I was thinking that someone needs to make a GPLed Learning Management System using Ruby-on-Rails. I have been using PHP-based ATutor for the past year on a research project and I believe that it could be done better using Rails. If we could get a simple version out before the next Google Summer of Code I might be able to score some students to work on it for the summer. I should float this idea by the research group and see what they think.

PS. Talking about students, I haven’t heard from my Camosun College students in a while…I wonder (openly) how they’re doing…
